Job Responsibility :

Develop, implement and monitor Health, Safety and Environment (HSE/EHS) management systems to ensure safe, compliant and environmentally responsible operations across projects, facilities and field activities.
Conduct Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Initial Environmental Examination (IEE), Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and baseline studies; identify impacts and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Prepare, implement and monitor Environmental Management Plans (EMP/ESMP), environmental monitoring plans, risk-control measures and corrective action plans for projects and operational activities.
Coordinate preparation, submission, renewal and compliance follow-up of Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) and related documentation with the Department of Environment (DoE) and relevant regulatory authorities.
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, organizational policies, client requirements and management standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 practices, where applicable
Conduct workplace and project-site inspections, HIRA/JSA, occupational risk assessments, incident investigations and preventive-action monitoring to minimize health, safety and environmental hazards.
Monitor environmental parameters including air quality, water quality, wastewater, noise, soil contamination, emissions and pollution-control performance; coordinate laboratory testing and maintain compliance records.
Supervise safe management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including segregation, temporary storage, recycling, transportation, disposal and waste-reduction initiatives.
Manage chemical safety and hazardous substance control, including inventory, SDS/MSDS documentation, labeling, storage, handling, spill prevention, emergency response and safe disposal practices.
Develop and coordinate fire safety, emergency preparedness, evacuation, spill-response and disaster-response plans; organize training, mock drills and awareness programmes for employees, contractors and communities.
Support climate change adaptation and mitigation activities through climate vulnerability assessment, GHG/carbon-emission tracking, resilience planning and identification of practical environmental risk-reduction measures.
Plan and implement Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) initiatives addressing floods, cyclones, heatwaves, waterlogging, drought, fire and other environmental or climate-related hazards affecting operations and communities.
Promote sustainable resource management through energy efficiency, water conservation, pollution prevention, cleaner production, solar energy and renewable-energy initiatives to reduce operational environmental footprint.
Support ESG and sustainability reporting by collecting, verifying and analyzing environmental, safety, climate, energy, water, waste and emission-related data; prepare dashboards, technical reports and stakeholder disclosures.
Conduct internal audits, compliance inspections and environmental performance reviews; coordinate with external auditors, consultants, clients, development partners and regulatory agencies for compliance improvement.
Implement environmental and social safeguards in NGO/INGO/UN-supported projects, including screening, field monitoring, stakeholder consultation, grievance documentation and mitigation-action tracking.
Coordinate community-based activities on environmental awareness, climate resilience, disaster preparedness, waste reduction, water conservation, biodiversity protection and sustainable livelihoods.
Support project planning, field supervision, monitoring and reporting for environmental, climate and disaster-resilience programmes; prepare progress reports, case studies, training records and donor/stakeholder documentation.
Liaise with government authorities, local government institutions, NGOs, development partners, communities, consultants and project teams to strengthen environmental compliance, sustainability and climate-resilient development.
Provide technical recommendations to management and project leadership on environmental risk management, HSE improvement, climate resilience, renewable energy, regulatory compliance and sustainable operational practices.
Responsible for delegated GIS-related tasks, including spatial data management, mapping, and geospatial analysis.
